| LIVING ROOM Some pictures have been taken with a wide-angle lens that can result in making the rooms appear bigger than what they really are. The living room is close to 20 x 24. There is a VCR in the living room and an AM-FM radio in the kitchen. There is no TV reception. The telephone is now a private line (not a rural party line) and is touch tone. Tamarack was built around 1940 and now one and a half stories are added which triples the floor space. There is also a veranda. The floors are pine, and the walls in the living room are red cedar from BC. On the ground floor, in the new addition, the ceiling is supported by exposed wood beams from an old house near the Talbot Trail, near Lake Erie. The wide pine floors are from a very early 1800 magistrates, Georgian house in Ingersoll and the front door and entrance I think also near the historic Talbot Trail. |
