Bayfield Ontario Lakefront Rental Cottage - Well Water.
The water source is a drilled well used by a few cottages.
My family and I have been using this well water for over 50 years. However, with all the media coverage about tap water concerns across the province, I have added an Ultra Violet water purifier to the water line in the cottage.
A water softener was also added in the Spring of 2002.
Well water tests from time to time have been good but it can and has varied.
In the London Free Press, Friday, December 22, 2000 it was report that the Environment Ministry inspectors checked 54 plants - between Oct 30 and Dec 1 - and found deficiencies at 27. As you can see the problems are widespread.
Therefore, I still ask you to bring bottled water.
