Lake water, like well water, can vary too. Bacterial count in the lake can change with rains and high waves. Water concerns in Ontario's beaches seems to be widespread. Fortunately, the Huron County Health Unit tests the lake water at various beaches. The closest beach to the one at Tamarack that is tested is Bayfield, about 3 miles away.
